Personal Description:
I graduated from Zhejiang University, majoring in Business English at Bachelor’s degree and Applied Linguistics at Master’s degree. I worked in Huawei Telecommunication Malaysian and Indonesian subsidiaries for many years and then moved to Hong Kong for my own business. During the time abroad and in Hong Kong, I met some foreigners who were interested in learning Chinese and started to teach them Chinese in my spare time. Later on I felt the heat of learning Chinese worldwide and so I decided to be a professional and certified Chinese teacher by getting trained from the International Profession Certification Association (IPA) and now I am a truly certified full-time Chinese teacher. I am energetic, humorous, warm and cheerful. I love travel and I have a wide knowledge of history, philosophy and pedagogy. I am good at teaching and I can teach students with different levels of Chinese proficiency. I am committed to helping foreigners to establish self-confidence in speaking Chinese. HSK Standard Courses are designed for students who want to study Chinese mandarin and take part in the HSK test in the future. The aim is to develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, to improve grammatical knowledge and confidence in using the Chinese language and to help students pass HSK test. This is a series of Chinese courses run by different tutors all over the world at different levels: beginner (A1), elementary (A2), intermediate (B1), upper-intermediate (B2), advanced (C1) and proficient (C2). This Course “Carly's HSK Standard Course (HSK 2) @ Shenzhen · China” is run by Tutor Carly Huang for elementary (A2) learners at Shenzhen, China.
Teaching Language: English & Chinese
Who are suitable to apply:
(1) People who can read and write with Pinyin.
(2) People who can read at least 200 very basic and easy Chinese characters.
(3) People who can understand and use familiar everyday expressions.(4) People who can interact in a simple way.
Course Objectives:
(1) Be able to understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
(2) Be able to communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
(3) Be able to describe in simple terms aspects of their background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.
Course Materials:
Students in this course will study Chinese with the course book HSK Standard Course 2 which is published by Beijing Language and Culture University Press. It is a system of step-by-step, easy, practical and highly efficient Chinese language teaching materials. Authorized by Hanban, HSK Standard Course is developed under the joint efforts of Chinese Testing International (CTI) and Beijing Language and Culture University Press. With HSK test papers as its primary source, HSK Standard Course is characterized by a humorous style, familiar topics and scientific course design. Matching the HSK test in all aspects, from the content, forms to the levels, it is a highly applicable series of course books which puts the idea of “combining testing and teaching, and promoting learning and teaching by testing” into practice.
Students will also learn from many other additional materials prepared by me. Lessons are based on everyday situations, which makes them effective and useful. The syllabus is based on the course books and additional materials.
Course Type:
These are real in-house classes where students can actively participate and work individually or work in pairs and in groups if you invite others to join the class at the same time. I will correct your errors so you will make a stable progress in Chinese. At the same time, you can also learn this course from me online using Skype/Wechat/QQ.
Course Time:
Every weekday between 08:00 and 22:00, Beijing Time.

Course Duration:
Minimum: 80 hours.
Students can apply for Additional Hours at a special discount if you want by clicking the “+” mark when you apply. 2 hours a time and 2 or 3 times a week is highly recommended in terms of each class.
Course Price:
Unit Price: 150 RMB per hour (Minimum Hours) for an Individual Class.
We have special discount for Additional Hours and for Group Classes which are not showed on the top because it varies according to the quantity of Additional Hours you apply and the number of students in a Group Class. Please ask for details if you are interested in the discount.
Total Price for the whole course should be: Course Duration * Unit Price.
